Your new wireless charging pad has arrived. Although it was supposed to simplify things, your phone isn’t charging. This article will explain what to do if wireless charging stops working on your Android.

How does wireless charging work?

Inductive wireless Charging allows you to charge your phone with no cables. Qi wireless charging pads are compatible with most Android phones. Qi is the standard for wireless charging that all companies use to ensure compatibility. You just need to plug in the charging cable and place the phone on the charger.

This process uses electromagnetic Induction to charge the battery of your Android smartphone. The charging pad contains a series of flat coils. In order to charge your battery, the electromagnetic field created by the pad sends power through the phone’s antenna.

Initial Troubleshooting

Two problems are most common to prevent Android phones wirelessly charging on the pad. The second problem is the inability to get power to the pad. Make sure that the charging pad is connected to a power source.

Second, your Android does not support wireless charging. This is true for older models. This list will help you verify that your Android can charge wirelessly. You can also check for software updates.

What if Wireless Charging Keeps Stopping?

It can be frustrating when your Android phone stops charging after a few seconds on the pad. If your Android doesn’t make a clear connection to the charger pad, this can cause problems.

This problem can be solved by simply picking up your Android and moving it around. Place your phone directly on the charging pad.

Also, it’s a good idea to wipe the charging pad as well as the back of your Android. The charging problem could be caused by dust or other debris.

My Android Charges Slowly Wirelessly

This is a problem with any charger wired or wireless. You should ensure that the wireless charging pad you are using is connected to a sufficient power source. You can plug the charger into multiple outlets.

This is often the case when your wireless charger connects to a USB port on a desktop or laptop computer. These ports are not strong enough to charge modern Android smartphones quickly. To get the best results, plug your charging pad into a wall outlet.

Quick Wireless Charging

You can turn off this feature on some devices. It might be worth checking if you have to turn it on again. This information can be found in the battery settings. This location may vary depending on the model.

It can be found under Settings -> Device Care -> Battery Charger. If it gets any more complicated than that, I may as well enter the Konami code in my phone.

However, if your phone supports fast wireless charging, it should be possible to find the setting in roughly the same spot!

My Android phone won’t wirelessly charge!

Wireless charging can sometimes be impeded by a case. This is especially true for metal and bulky cases. Wireless charging is compatible with most cases. If you still have trouble, take the case off. In case your phone gets knocked off its charging pad, make sure it is in a safe place.

Your charger may also be broken. You can also ask the company customer service to replace it if it was just bought.

It might be time for a new wireless charger if you have had your current one for a while. The LETSCOM wireless charger is our favorite Qi charger and it only costs $7 on Amazon.

My personal favorite is Samsung’s wireless charger. You can either lay your phone flat to charge it or place it on a stand like a dock. It’s awesome and I use it every night to charge my Galaxy Note 9 with it.

Sometimes, your phone may not be able to support wireless charging. To make sure your phone can be charged wirelessly, you might want to review the specifications.

It’s all down to the wire
