Pasting custom patch on garment is easy if you know right stuff needed and few guidelines. In thig blog; I am going to tell you how can you heat press custom patches to hats and left breast of clothing with OUT breaking your bank.
What all you need few tools such as;
Custom badge
Hat
Heat transfer adhesive (available at craft stores)
Hair dryer
So, I am going to unveil two easiest ways here; Let’s talk on Method 1 first
METHOD ONE TO STICK CUSTOM BADGE ON GARMENT
Prepare the badge:
Make sure your custom badge is clean and free from any dust or debris.
Apply the adhesive:
- Place the badge on the desired location of the hat.
- Cut a piece of heat transfer adhesive to fit the size of the badge.
- Put the adhesive on top of the badge, between the badge and the hat.
Heat the adhesive:
- Use a hair dryer on a medium heat setting.
- Hold the hair dryer about 2-3 inches away from the badge.
- Move the hair dryer back and forth over the badge and adhesive for about 2-3 minutes until the adhesive melts and bonds the badge to the hat.
Press and cool:
While the adhesive is still warm, press down on the badge to ensure a strong bond.
Allow the adhesive to cool and harden for a few minutes.
Method Number 2 For Using Favourite Glue (heat press)
Things You Need
- Custom badge
- Hat
- Heat-activated glue (available at craft stores)
- Hair dryer
Prepare the badge:
- Ensure that the badge is clean and free of any dirt or contaminants.
- Apply the heat-activated glue:
- Apply a thin, even layer of heat-activated glue to the back of the badge.
Position the badge:
Place the badge on the hat in the desired location.
Heat and bond:
- Use a hair dryer on a medium heat setting.
- Hold the hair dryer about 2-3 inches away from the badge.
- Move the hair dryer back and forth over the badge for about 2-3 minutes. The heat will activate the glue, securing the badge to the hat.
Press and cool:
- While the glue is still warm, press down on the badge to ensure a strong bond.
- Allow the glue to cool and harden for a few minutes.
CAUTIONS
Make sure to follow the instructions on the adhesive or glue product you choose for the best results. Additionally, be cautious not to overheat the badge or the hat material, as excessive heat can damage them.
