  1. Remember to strategise your time for each subject and topic before time. Do not forget to make notes asthese notes help in revisions later.
  2. It is important to practice previous year question papers as it helps in uncovering the type of questions, your strength and weaknesses along with time management.
  3. It is advisable to strengthen your foundation in your MPSC Prelims Exam in History, Polity, General Studies, Economy, etc. This will help you in the subsequent Mains Exam.
  4. Reading newspapers is a must to stay up-to-date on Current Affairs. You must go through the editorial sections of The Hindu, The Economic Times, and magazines like Dainik Jagran, Yojna as well.
  5. While preparing for MPSC Prelims, start with NCERT books and move on to M Laxmikanth’s Indian Polity, India After Independence by Bipan Chandra, and World Geography by Majid Hussain.
  6. For your Prelims, you are required to clear Paper I and II which are both objective based. You have to clear both the papers to appear for the Mains Exam. For the Mains Exam, there are 6 papers testing your Language skills along with General Studies.
  7. Remember to assess yourself according to your weekly/biweekly goals through open book exams/mock tests.
