Jim Breyer: “We See 10,000 Media Business Plans A Year, And Invest In About Ten”

Jim Breyer, the famous person challenge companion at Accel, is a completely busy man. He sits on the forums of Facebook, Walmart, News Corp, and Dell, among others. I caught up with him last week at the Techonomy conference, in which he talked about what regions Accel is investing in. In Part I of my video interview above, he explains his interest in the “intersection of media, generation and purchaser commerce.”

Accel’s consciousness these days may be very plenty social, mobile, and international. “We have greater companions in China than Palo Alto,” he tells me. Brazil is big also.
